We are a Tweed-based custom cabinet maker serving Tweed Heads, Kingscliff, Casuarina, Banora Point, Murwillumbah and the surrounding Northern Rivers coast and hinterland. We design, build and install custom kitchens, built-in and walk-in wardrobes, laundries, vanities and bespoke joinery, all measured and made to suit your home rather than forced into fixed flat-pack sizes. Over 12 years experience, a NSW Contractors Licence, $20 million public liability cover and a strict compliant-benchtops-only policy back every project.

The Process

Our Simple 3 Step Process

On-site measure and consult

It starts with a proper conversation and an on-site measure. Owner Steve Smith visits your Tweed home, measures the space himself and reads its exposure, whether that is the salt air of a Kingscliff beach house, the humidity of a Banora Point renovation or the flood history of a Murwillumbah river flat. We talk through how you use the room, the look you want and a realistic budget, so the design that follows suits your actual walls and services rather than a catalogue.

Design and written quote

Next we turn the measure into a clear design and a written, itemised quote. Materials, door styles, compliant benchtops, hardware and a realistic timeline are all set out plainly, with honest advice on trade-offs, such as laminate versus natural stone, or where two-pac is worth it. Because engineered stone is banned, you will only ever see legal, safe benchtop options. Nothing is ordered or built until you are happy and the quote is signed off.

Build, install and warranty

In the workshop your cabinets are glued, dowelled and built square, then delivered and installed by the same team that measured them. On site we scribe to the walls and pack everything dead level, holding reveals to within about 2mm and adjusting the three-way hinges so every door aligns. We tidy up, walk you through the finished job, and back it with a genuine local warranty. One accountable person carries your project from first measure to final sign-off.

Do you install engineered stone benchtops?

Why do you say moisture-resistant and not waterproof?

Because it is the honest word. HMR board is moisture-resistant, not waterproof, so it resists the humidity and occasional splashes of a subtropical Tweed home far better than standard board, but no cabinet material survives standing water indefinitely. We seal cut-outs and edges, but we will always tell you the truth about what a material can and cannot do.

Why choose custom over flat-pack from IKEA?

There is no IKEA in the Tweed or on the Gold Coast; the nearest store is IKEA Logan at Slacks Creek, roughly 80km and about 54 minutes north over the Queensland border. Beyond the cross-border haul, flat-pack comes in fixed sizes that leave filler gaps in older or non-standard rooms. We measure, build and scribe to your actual walls, with full material choice and a local warranty.

What benchtop options do you offer?

Compliant materials only: laminate for value and colour range, natural granite or marble cut by licensed stonemasons, porcelain and sintered surfaces for heat and scratch resistance, solid timber for warmth, and stainless steel. We do not quote engineered stone, which is banned. We will walk you through the trade-offs on price, durability and maintenance for your kitchen or vanity.
